Poverty and Kidney Disease

We are pleased to invite you to the 11th satellite organized by the ISN Support Committee for Kidney Health in Disadvantaged Populations (ISN CKHDP). Acclaimed as an attractive and well attended Post Congress satellite meeting of the WCN, the meeting will focus on renal problems linked to non-communicable diseases faced by racial and ethnic minorities, indigenous and migrant populations with a focus on Latin America. Experts in the field of epidemiology, preventive and clinical nephrology will deliver up-to-date information in relevant areas. The satellite meeting is a platform to discuss and debate the latest advances in these areas of nephrology, and is intended for anyone involved in the prevention and treatment of renal disease in these populations.

We also invite you to present any relevant abstract in the field, which may be the same that has been submitted to the World Congress of Nephrology 2017. It will add to the success of the satellite conference, and it will increase your audience. The selected abstracts will be presented in the poster display. Several abstracts will be selected for an oral presentation.

Several scholarships covering registration and 2 nights’ accommodation will be made available to young researchers from emerging countries and young underrepresented minority and disabled investigators in the U.S.A.

The conference will be held at the Hacienda Jurica in the suburbs of Santiago de Querétaro. Originally a splendid hacienda from the 16th centry with its classic colonial architecture, arches and volcanic stone walls, the Hacienda offers top-quality conference services and accommodation in an atmospheric historical setting.

We hope to see you in Santiago de Querétaro!
